How to choose a TikTok LIVE agency: 12 questions

How do I choose a good TikTok LIVE agency?

Compare networks on written answers to twelve questions: fee, Diamond share, hours, notice period, exclusivity, who your manager is and how fast they respond, what data they see, what events they actually run, their legal identity, how they handle account problems, what happens if you leave, and whether their claims are checkable. Any network that will not answer in writing has answered.

This is not a list of the “best” agencies. We are a network ourselves, so any ranking we published would be self-serving, and there is no independent review site for Creator Networks that we could point you to. What we can give you is the questionnaire we would want a creator to put to us.

Before you compare: what a network can and cannot do

TikTok’s own description of network support is specific: “professional guidance and resources,” “topic optimization, creative training, case studies and best practices sharing,” “operational support, including platform policy guidance, account safety support,” and “industry insights.” Nothing on TikTok’s pages describes a network delivering viewers, Diamonds, or distribution. Use that as your filter: a network selling the first list is describing the job; a network selling the second is selling something it does not have.

The twelve questions

Ask for written answers. Score each answer “clear,” “vague,” or “refused.”

Money

  1. What does it cost me to join, stay, or leave? (Right answer: nothing.)
  2. What share of my Diamonds or Reward Payments does your agreement take? (Right answer: a number, in the contract.)
  3. How is the network paid? (Right answer: through TikTok’s network programs, not by me.)

Obligations

  1. What are the minimum hours, days, and stream length per month, and what happens the first month I miss them?
  2. Is the agreement exclusive, and what does exclusive cover?
  3. How long is the agreement, and what is the notice period to leave?

Support

  1. Who is my manager by name, and what response time do you commit to?
  2. What do you see about my account in LIVE Backstage, and what do you not see? (TikTok: “real-time performance metrics, such as Diamonds and active hours,” viewer engagement, contract status.)
  3. Which events, battles, or bonus programs did your creators actually take part in last month?

Identity and safety

  1. What is your legal name, where are you registered, and who are the people on your team?
  2. What do you do when a creator’s account has a problem — and what have you done in a real case?
  3. Which of your claims can I verify myself — a certified scouting account in the app, a named creator I can message, a public results page with consent and typical outcomes?

Reading the answers

  • Numbers beat adjectives. “0%,” “15 hours,” “30 days” are answers. “Competitive,” “flexible,” and “family” are not.
  • “TikTok requires” should be followed by a link to a TikTok page. If it is not, the requirement is the network’s, which is fine, as long as it says so.
  • Anonymous screenshots of earnings are not evidence. Named creators with consent and a stated typical outcome are.
  • A network that answers “we’re official” to question 10 has not answered question 10. TikTok publishes no directory of approved networks, and states that networks are independent third parties it does not endorse.

Our answers

Our answers to all twelve are on the requirements, benefits, about, and creator results pages. Where we do not yet have something to show — creator results, for example — the page says so rather than pretending.
