How to leave a TikTok LIVE agency (Creator Network)

How do I leave a TikTok LIVE agency, and how long does it take?

You leave inside the TikTok app on the Creator Network (sometimes labeled Agency Center) screen, and any notice period is set by your network's contract, not by TikTok. TikTok's public pages do not state a universal 15-, 30- or 60-day rule. Read your agreement for the number, send written notice, and keep a copy.

Leaving is the single most-asked question about LIVE agencies, and the answers circulating on TikTok contradict each other. This guide separates three things: what TikTok actually publishes, what your contract says, and what the app lets you do.

What TikTok publishes

TikTok’s Creator Networks pages describe how a network invites and onboards a creator and how contracts are managed in LIVE Backstage (“manage contracts, and review monthly bonuses and payouts”). They do not publish a creator-side exit procedure, a cooling-off window, a notice period, or a waiting period before joining another network. Every one of those is a contract term, or a claim someone made in a video.

That matters because a common scare tactic is “TikTok requires you to stay 30 days.” TikTok’s pages say no such thing. Your agreement might, and that is a different statement.

The three numbers you will hear

  • “Free to leave within 15 days.” Some networks offer a trial window in their own contract. Not a TikTok rule.
  • “30 days’ notice.” A notice period in many network contracts. Not a TikTok rule.
  • “60-day wait before joining another network.” Reported by creators as an in-app restriction after leaving. We could not find it on any TikTok-owned page, so we treat it as unconfirmed. Ask your new network whether they have seen it, and do not rely on either answer being a rule.

Our terms

Our notice period is written into the creator agreement you accept in the app, and it is the number on our requirements page. There is no exit fee. We will not ask you to stay, and we will process the unlink on our side within the notice period.

Step by step

  1. Read your agreement first. Find the notice period and the method of notice (in-app, email, or both). If you cannot find your agreement, ask your manager for a copy — a network that will not provide it is telling you something.
  2. Send written notice the way the agreement specifies, and keep a copy with the date. A DM that disappears is not proof.
  3. Unlink in the app. Open TikTok, go to your profile menu, then Settings and privacy, then Creator tools. Look for the Creator Network (older versions: LIVE Center, then Agency Center) screen and use the option to leave or end the collaboration. The exact labels vary by app version and region; if you cannot find it, search “Creator Network” in the app’s settings search.
  4. Wait out the notice period. Keep streaming normally. Your Rewards are paid by TikTok under its Rewards Policy regardless of network status, so leaving does not change how TikTok pays you.
  5. Confirm you are unlinked by checking that the Creator Network screen no longer shows the network.

If the network will not let you go

  • A network cannot legally hold your account. It never had your login, and it should never have asked for it.
  • If your manager stops responding, send notice by every method in the agreement and keep the timestamps.
  • If the network is doing something that breaks TikTok’s rules, report it through the in-app reporting flow on the invitation or the network’s certified account.
  • If you have already given your notice and the period has passed, you have done your part; document it.

Does leaving hurt your streams?

Nothing on TikTok’s pages suggests a network can influence your distribution, in either direction. What can change is access to network-run events and bonus programs, which end when the relationship ends. Your Diamonds, your followers, and your LIVE access are yours.
